TEAC DC-D6300 3-CD Shelf System with Turntable Specifications

Harking back to the all-in-one systems that listeners used to own before digital formats became dominant, this Teac DC-D6300 shelf system will keep CD, vinyl, and cassette enthusiasts entertained for years. The 30-watt system is centered around a three-disc drawer-type CD changer for enjoying CDs, CD-Rs, or CD-RWs, along with a three-speed belt-driven turntable for revisiting your vintage 33-1/2, 45, or 78 rpm albums and singles (or even enjoying limited-edition new albums). Should you need to record from CD or vinyl, you can turn to the dual cassette deck, which offers playback, traditional recording, and tape-to-tape dubbing, depending on your needs. And as with most shelf systems, the DC-6300 also includes a digital AM/FM tuner with 40 total presets (20 AM and 20 FM). The presets make it easy to access your favorite stations at any time.

Also included is a pair of two-way speakers with 5.25-inch woofers and 2-inch tweeters. The speakers do a nice job of rounding out the highs, mids, and lows, especially in conjunction with the bass boost system, which adds extra thump to your bass-heavy beats. The system also boasts three preset equalizer settings (for rock, pop, and classic) that provide different effects depending on the music source.

Other features include an auxiliary audio input for connecting DVD players, MP3 players, iPods, and other outside units; a front-panel headphone jack for people who like to listen privately; and a full-function remote control. The main unit measures 13.75 by 14.81 by 14.19 inches (W x H x D), while the speakers measure 7.88 by 14.41 by 7.38 inches.

TEAC DC-D6300 3-CD Shelf System with Turntable Overviews

3 Disc CD Music System

[if I purchased this unit for my in-laws. They have a lot of old LPs as well as cassettes and CDs. I was amazed at how well everything sounded for an all-in-one stereo system! All components work great and instructions aren't necessary to figure out any of the functions. Bad side is the wording on the buttons. Very difficult to see unless you have the system at eye view. Also the arm for the turntable doesn't have an auto shut off. That would have been something I definitely would have put on this equipment.

I would have no problems recommending it to others. We have seperate stereo components with JBL Monitor Speakers so our sound system led us to believe the TEAC stereo would never give quality sound but we were wrong. If you have old LPs that you still enjoy listening to, I highly recommend this unit. My father-in-law loves it and he's a very difficult man to please.

Here it is, August 2007 and there's a problem with the on/off button. Took forever to get fixed because there was so much wrong with it. I don't know if I can recommend a product that can't even make it through the first year of use. The decision is yours.]

Broke out of the box! – R. Rodenbach – Florida
I bought this to transfer my LP’S to to MP3’s and when I unpacked the unit, one of the hinges to the cover was broke! Now, a year or so later the remote control gives out! I don’t have a problem with the hiss on CD playback, but this is a CHEAP piece of equipment, although I paid over 0 for it!! What a sucker me and other were for purchasing this Mattel quality stereo!

Thank God they don’t sell this anymore. – B. Timmons – Texas
I bought this for my mom and it worked well till just after the 1 year warranty was up. Then nothing. The repairs to the system will cost more than I paid for it. What a disappointment.

Great product – D. Votava – Lakewood, CO
My elderly aunt needed a turntable with a CD and Tape player. This fit the bill. I was surprised after setting it up for her (VERY EASY) how well it sounded. I expected less and got a lot more bang for the buck.

Noisy and just overall badly built! – Zapopsicle – Youngstown, OH
I got this unit for Christmas hoping I would get a nice 3 CD changer with a record player built in…what I got was the noisiest piece of junk ever built. The CD, yes THE CD PLAYER, is the noisiest function on this entire unit. It hisses so bad I can’t even hear music! And that’s not the only problem. The other reason I got this unit, ironically enough, is the record player(turntable). Again, very noisy but that’s expected of records, but the stylus is pure garbage. It’s inncaurate, flimsy and probably made of cheap plastic that will destroy your records! If you need a 3 CD changer with a record player STAY AWAY FROM THIS THING!
