Sharp CD-XP300 100-Watt Compact Stereo System Specifications
Sharp’s CD-XP300 comes complete with a three-CD changer, dual-well cassette deck, FM-AM digital tuner, stereo speakers, and a handy full-function remote control. With 100 watts per channel (from 60 to 20,000 Hz, with 10 percent total harmonic distortion), the CD-XP300 is ready to rock a dorm, office, or bedroom. The carousel changer lets you swap two CDs while one plays, and the cassette deck offers the elegance of full-logic controls.
The two-way speakers are ported for extra bass heft and detach for enhanced stereo separation. Tune in to your favorite radio stations and program up to 40 of them with the touch of a button. Six preset equalizer curves (named for suggested genres of music) let you tailor the sound to your taste or adjust for conditions in a listening space.

[if Got this for Christmas four years ago and it is still running fine!
Pros:
*Great sound. Very clear. No fuzz.
*Remote! (ok, nerd...i like remotes...) Has all the buttons/functions you would need, and none you don't. Great range.
*Rear component sound input. I have my PC sound running through it right now, but you could run anything (game system, DVD player...) through it if you wanted.
*3 CD changer--not 5, but still plenty.
*Wakeup/sleep timer. Never failed yet!
*Simple front
*Double tape deck--lets you dub from another tape, a CD, or the radio
*Tuner with programmable channels
*Plenty of power. I hooked up an extra set of speakers for "surround sound" and had no problem!
*Great layout of front panel
*Looks sharp!
*Front headphone jack
*Plenty of programmed "Mixes" (flat, pops, rock, classic, vocal, jazz, x-bass)
*Speakers look great, and sound better!
*Programmable playlists--you can lay out an entire playlist from your 3 loaded CD's. I have never done it because I can do it easier through my PC, but it would be kinda neat otherwise!
*Schedule recording. I know we don't listen to the radio a lot--but if you do and want to schedule a tape to record, this will do it!
Cons:
The ONLY con that I have is that there is no pause button on the stereo itself--only on the remote.
This truly has been a great unit. I am sure for those that want to shake an entire apartment building there are more powerful stereos out there. For anyone that doesn't want to spend a million dollars, this is the unit for you.

Not a good system. – –
Though its “overall presentation” might look good, do not be decieved…please. This system is total junk. The CDXP300 died on me in less than a year- one of the speakers stopped working (that is when I insert a CD). Never thought it could get worse, until one day, the CD tray got stuck open. Now I have a stereo with messed up speakers and a CD tray sticking out. Do yourself a favor and don’t waste good money on this garbage.
